Oramomo Inc. operates the Oramomo platform at oramomo.com. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Name, email address, and password when you create an account
- Profile information including biography, skills, and credentials
- Location information (neighborhood or GPS, based on your privacy settings)
- Payment information processed securely through Stripe
- Communications between you and other users through the platform
- Ratings and reviews you submit
We also collect information automatically:
- Device and browser information
- IP address and general location
- Pages visited and features used on the platform
- Timestamps of actions including agreement acceptance
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve the Oramomo platform
- To connect Artisans with Clients based on location and category
- To process payments and issue T4A tax slips
- To calculate and display Merit Scores
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts
- To investigate disputes and enforce our Terms of Service
- To comply with legal obligations including CRA reporting
4. Location Information
Oramomo is a location-based platform. For Artisans, you choose your privacy level:
- Neighborhood only: Clients see your general area — never your exact address
- Exact location: Clients see your precise location (opt-in only)
You can change your location privacy settings at any time from your Artisan Dashboard.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With other users as necessary to facilitate bookings (e.g. your name and neighborhood are visible on your public profile)
- With Stripe for payment processing
- With the Canada Revenue Agency as required by law (T4A reporting)
- With law enforcement when required by valid legal process
- With service providers who assist in operating the platform, under confidentiality agreements
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@oramomo.com.
7. Your Rights
Under PIPA (Alberta) and PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for certain uses of your information
- Request deletion of your account and data
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure authentication, and regular security reviews. Your payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on Oramomo servers. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect platform functionality.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
